COURSE DETAILS

This 10 month program has seven 3-day, and one 4-day intensive weekends. The MAT Internship is comprised of four units; Lower Body, Upper Body, Trunk & Spine, and Cervical Spine and Accessory Muscles. This course provides students with the education they need to become an MAT® Certified Specialist.

Class 1: May 15-17, 2015:  Introduction  & Lower Body

Class 2: June 26-28, 2015:  Lower Body

Class 3: August 7-9, 2015:  Lower Body & Upper Body

Class 4: September 11-13, 2015:  Upper Body

Class 5: October 16-18, 2015: Upper Body & Trunk and Spine

Class 6: November 19-22, 2015 (this is a 4 day class):  Trunk & Spine and RTS for MAT

Class 7: December 18-20, 2015  Cervical

Class 8: January 22-24, 2016  Whole Body review

MAT SPECIALIST TESTING:  All students who have taken the 8 required modules are eligible to take the Specialist exam in an effort to become MAT CERTIFIED SPECIALIST.

OBJECTIVES

  • To educate all segments of the health industry on the benefits of Muscle Activation Techniques®.
  • To offer new opportunities for advancement of careers within the health industry.
  • To train Specialists across the country in order to make Muscle Activation Techniques® available to anyone that experiences pain or injury.
  • To expand the MAT program both nationally and internationally.
  • To provide trainers and physical therapists with a way to immediately increase their income potential while separating themselves from their respective fields.

Interested MAT candidates should, but are not required to, have:

  • Have a degree in health or exercise related fields;
  • Have a thorough understanding of anatomy;
  • Have a passion for their work and the well-being of others.

TYPICAL SCHEDULE

Instruction and practical application over 7, 3-day weekends, and one 4-day weekend.

Friday: 9:30 – 5:30
Saturday: 8:30 – 5:30
Sunday: 8:30 – 4:00

**The 4-day weekend is Weekend 6 and includes class on Thursday from 9:30-5:30.
