MAT®Rx Foot and Hand Specialist, MAT® Jumpstart Instructor
Brian has been active in sports his whole life, excelling in baseball as a starting pitcher. During his college career, he received several All-League and All-State awards, ultimately earning a scholarship to Sonoma State University. After 1 year, he sustained a career ending injury that he was frustratingly told didn’t exist and no one could help with, ending a promising career. Now motivated to understand human performance and rehabilitation, he earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Exercise Physiology and Biomechanics in 2004 and 2008. After being exposed to MAT® through Stacey Earl, now his business partner at their studio Muscle Activation of San Francisco, he immediately signed up for the upcoming MAT® Internship, ultimately becoming a Master certified specialist, and is continuing his progression with the MAT® Rx program in 2016. Currently, Brian primarily trains in Olympic and Power Lifting, participates in a number of adventure sports, and occasionally runs multi-day ultra-marathon events. He lives with his wife Sadie and two children, Emmett and Hazel, in Lafayette, CA.
