Continuing Education Requirements

In order to keep our MAT practitioners in good standing, MAT tracks CEC’s annually. To retain the status of ‘Certified MAT Practitioner’ , all practitioners need to take 16 MAT Continuing Education Credits (CECs) in each calendar year.

All of the online course options listed below are offered through our partnership with Broadview University.

Below are the requirements for Continuing Education to keep your certification active:

Specialist Requirements

All MAT® Specialists are required to fulfill 16 MAT Continuing Education Credits (CECs) annually in order to remain compliant. There are several CEC course options throughout the year. As a Specialist, each of the options below fulfill this requirement:

  • MAT Mastery Online Modules (with required practical lab and certification exam)
    • Lower Body
    • Upper Body
    • Foot Function
    • Wrist and Hand
    • Trunk and Spine
    • Cervical, Hand/Foot
  • The following options are approved options for every other calendar year:

Master Specialist Requirements

All MAT® Masters Specialists are required to fulfill 16 MAT Continuing Education Credits (CECs) annually in order to remain compliant. MAT offers several CEC course options throughout the year. As a Masters Specialist, each of the options below fulfill this requirement:

RX Specialist Requirements

All MATRx Specialists are required to fulfill a minimum of 20 MAT CECs annually in order to remain compliant. MAT offers several CEC course options throughout the year. As an RX Specialist, each of the options below fulfill this requirement:

  • An RX CEC course is offered twice a year (Spring and Fall)
  • If a student is enrolled in an RX Program, those courses count as CECs. RX CECs are required once the student is certified in RX Full Body
