Certification Details

Participants will investigate Muscle Activation Techniques® for the hip and explore the relations of the hip muscle function to joint stability as it relates to joint mobility. Participants will evaluate range of motion in movements of the hip. They will use the MAT® assessments to identify areas of muscle weakness in the knee.

Study includes application of the Comparative Assessment Mobility Evaluation (CAM®) procedure to evaluate range of motion and identify biomechanical imbalances within the knee.

Further study includes applications of isolated muscle strength testing using the Active Muscle Contract and Sustain (AMC&S®) procedure on the knee to correlate range of motion limitations to potential muscle weakness. Participants will also learn to apply the Digital Force Application to Muscle Attachment Tissue (DFAMAT) process, along with corrective isometrics and reinforcement exercises. The segment concludes with a final MAT Techniques one on one coaching session.

Course Objectives

01. Introduction To CAM®
Evaluate range of motion to identify biomechanical imbalances within the hip using the Comparative Assessment Mobility Evaluation (CAM®) procedure.
02: Applying Our AMC&S® Techniques
Correlate range of motion limitations to potential muscle weakness through application of the isolated muscle strength test (AMC&S®) for the hip.
03: Administer Specific DFMATs®
Apply specific palpation techniques designed to improve neural integrity of inhibited muscles using our Digital Force Application of Muscle Attachment Tissue treatment process.
04: Master Corrective Isometrics
Learn the corrective isometrics and reinforcement excercises using our Positional Iso-angular Contractions (PIC) process for the hip.
05: Confirm The Technique
Confirm the technique did increase the neural integrity of the muscle by using the AMC&S® test to evaluate the results.
