Program Details

Learn how to assess, address, and correct muscular imbalances within the human body. This program is comprised of Lower Body, Upper Body, Trunk and Spine, and Cervical, Hand and Foot. Learn specific range of motion assessments in order to determine which muscle tests to perform on an individual client basis.
Participants that take the Specialist modules will be taught the revolutionary techniques to activating muscles that are not contracting efficiently and likely causing the client discomfort and muscle tightness. Participants who join us and complete the Specialist modules have the chance to test for certification at the end of each module.

Program Requirements

Non-licensed therapists interested in the Specialist program may start in the Lower Body module and licensed therapists may start with either the Lower Body or the Upper Body module.

Modules You Will Take

Each Specialist module consists of 12-weeks of online, self-paced content and two virtual labs. There is a midterm virtual lab that reviews the first half of the course material and there is final virtual lab that review all of the course content covered in the module. Both labs are led by an instructor in a practical application workshop setting that allows participants to ask questions, practice the hands on skillset, and get live feedback from the instructor.

Certification Exam

Each Specialist module concludes with a mandatory Examination Prep and Certification Exam (EPCE) at the state-of-art MAT Headquarters in Denver, Colorado. Participants will have the ability to practice on their peers, ask questions, refine their skillset, and get valuable feedback on their abilities in preparation to the certification exam.

The certification exam is an hour long practical skills assessment. Participants will work with a classmate to perform an MAT session on the body segment specific to that module. Participants are required to assess, address, and correct muscular imbalances found on their partner and explain the direction they chose to move forward through the MAT process.
