The MAT® Online Modules can be completed at an individual pace within a 12 week period. Each module culminates with a required, two-day lab at the MAT® headquarters in Denver, Colorado. **

The objective of the Muscle Activation Techniques® Certificate program is to provide an understanding of the MAT® skill-set to students who have knowledge in the health and fitness field. Each module studies the MAT® approach to assessment and correction of muscular imbalances in the human body. Students are trained on the MAT® tools used to identify restrictions in joint instability relating to muscle tightness and weakness. Students gain an understanding of the unique systematic format provided through Muscle Activation Techniques® in order for them to help their clients function with maximum efficiency and balance out the muscular system.  Completing the online modules’ coursework, two-day lab, and passing the certification exam at MAT® Headquarters will allow students to become certified in their respective disciplines and provide more in-depth assessments to their clients.

    • Getting MAT® certified in specific disciplines (i.e. Lower Body, Upper Body, Trunk and Spine, and Cervical, Hand/Foot) will help you differentiate yourself from other health industry professionals.
    • After taking an MAT® certification program you will be able to address a void in the conventional rehabilitation and exercise protocols.
  • Becoming MAT® certified may lead to increased earning potential and set you above others in your field!

What will I learn in the courses?

    • You will learn how to assess and address muscular imbalances within the section of the body that you are working with.
    • You will learn specific activation techniques and be expected to learn all attachment sites and bony landmarks along with the specific isometrics for specific areas of the body.
