Trunk & Spine I

The MAT Trunk and Spine I Course gives you the ability to develop a deeper understanding between the relationship of specific muscle functions and joint stability throughout the core and back region of the body, specifically through flexion and spinal sidebend.

Course Details

The MAT Trunk and Spine I Course equips participants with a deep understanding of specific muscle functions and joint stability in the core and back, improving motion and alleviating discomfort.

Learn to assess trunk and spine movement range and identify muscle weaknesses, imbalances, and compensations. Master our proprietary AMC&S® muscle testing, detecting 15 specific muscles with poor contractile ability during flexion and spinal sidebend. Correlating DFAMATs® address and correct weakened muscles, restoring stability and mobility.

Back pain, affecting approximately 80% (200 million) of adults in the United States at some point, encompasses various locations in the back, emphasizing the significance of addressing issues comprehensively. MAT offers targeted solutions addressing muscle dysfunction, providing relief and improved functionality for those affected by back-related discomfort.

Our goal is for participants to learn our unique systematic format to help their individual clients function with maximum efficiency and give them a better quality of life!

Content Overview

Continue the Use of MAT CAM® through the Trunk and Spine
Evaluate range of motion to identify biomechanical imbalances within the shoulder using the Comparative Assessment Mobility Evaluation (CAM) procedure. biomechanical imbalances within the hip using the Comparative Assessment Mobility Evaluation (CAM) procedure.
Learn How To Apply Our AMC&S® Techniques
Correlate range of motion limitations to potential muscle weakness through application of the isolated muscle strength test (AMC&S) for the trunk and spine region.
Learn How To Administer Specific DFAMATs®
Apply specific palpation techniques designed to improve neural integrity of inhibited muscles using our Digital Force Application of Muscle Attachment Tissue treatment process (DFAMAT).
Learn How To Master PICs®
Learn how to use the Corrective Positional Iso-angular Contractions (PIC) process for the trunk and spine as an alternative form of stimulation to active position of weakness.
Have The Tools To Confirm
Confirm the technique did increase the neural integrity of the muscle by using the AMC&S test to evaluate the results.

What Will You Learn

In the MAT Trunk and Spine I Course, gain insider knowledge on Greg Roskopf’s developments in neuromuscular health. Learn skills to enhance clients’ range of motion, speed up recovery, and unlock the body’s healing power for immediate positive changes. Explore the MAT Trunk and Spine I Course below.

Why Muscle Tightness Is Caused By Muscle Weakness:
Learn why the primary principle behind MAT, muscle tightness is the result of muscle weakness. It is more powerful than any other mindset out there.
What Causes Muscle Weakness:
Where there is stress, trauma, or overuse of a muscle, and the strength tolerance level of that muscle has been exceeded, the resulting inflammation alters the communication between the nervous system and that muscle. The muscle can no longer recover properly, thus it progressively weakens. Learn how to assess, address, and correct these weaknesses for your clients.
What Causes Muscle Dysfunction:
Learn about how muscle dysfunction is caused by the interaction of local and systemic factors, why it happens, and what can be done to fix it.
The Role Of Inflammation And How MAT Helps:
Learn how to utilize the skills taught exclusively by Greg Roskopf to help address and further negate the resulting inflammation that inevitably occurs from stress, trauma, or overuse to the muscular system.
How MAT Uses Muscle Testing:
Learn how to use specific assessment techniques that are designed to determine where altered neuromuscular function is occurring in the body. Each of your clients will receive the benefit of being treated uniquely towards their own individual muscle weaknesses and compensation patterns.
How the Muscular System Affects All Aspects Of Health:
The muscular system is a powerful body system that gets overlooked in conventional medicine for its direct impact on overall health. Learn how obtaining optimal muscular function will affect your well-being.
