Requirements To Maintain Your MAT Active Status

MAT continues to require protocols for our certified practitioners in order to uphold the quality of the hands on skills our professional development courses teach. We have online and in-person options for how practitioners, of any level, can maintain their active status or advance their certification level.

Active

Maintain their credentials or increase their credentials annually
Granted official listing on the MAT Practitioner Database
Maintains proof of insurance with MAT Headquarters or have executed a wavier

Inactive

Has not maintained their credentials or increased their credentials on an annual basis
Due to not fulfilling their annual requirement to maintain or advance their education, their listing on the MAT Practitioner Database will be removed
Does not maintain proof of insurance with MAT Headquarters or has not executed a wavier

How To Maintain Active Status

Read below to learn about the two ways to maintain the active status of your MAT Certification. You can either advance your skillset by taking course or by certifying in a subject OR you can maintain your current credentials by taking a CEC option.

Advancing Your Skillset By Increasing Credentials

Our courses are available to start at anytime and are accessible from any device given our upgraded education platform that provides participants with the ability to learn, engage, and connect with instructors and peers. We are excited for you to continue your education journey whether you are certifying at the Specialist or Mastery level!

Maintaining Credentials With A CEC Option

If you are looking to maintain your current credentials while keeping your Active status as a certified MAT Practitioner, take a look at our online and in-person options.

Our online CEC options are available to be taken at anytime but must be completed within a calendar year.

Our in-person option is date specific and available throughout the year, you can find available dates by browsing our planning calendar.

Our CEC process is used to validate an MAT Practitioners’ practical skill level in order for them to maintain their listing on the corporate website. Learn more about the options to maintain your credentials below!
