Patrick’s passion has been centered around fitness and the human body from an extremely young age, as certain components of fitness are prerequisites for being highly competitive in sports. His last 21 years as a fitness professional have been a perpetual search for the latest, most updated scientific information available. In high school, sometimes much to their chagrin, he was advising his coaches when practical applications to exercise physiology were not in line with the latest studies. He even helped tutor his father on human anatomy when he sold medical supplies at the age of 13.
Patrick was only the 32nd designated MATRx Specialist in the world, which is the highest certified level of Muscle Activation Techniques possible. He has nearly 1000 hours of hands-on training and continuing education courses in MAT, and hundreds of hours assisting in courses in the last decade.
Patrick has worked with athletes from many backgrounds, including the Louisville (KY) Ballet, college football, NFL and CFL players, Ironman Triathletes, professional cyclists, professional snowboarders/skiers, as well as people with many different high-risk conditions including stroke victims, multiple sclerosis, ankylosing spondylitis, ehler’s danlos syndrome, diabetes/neuropathy, pre/post-operative patients, and many others.
