Lower Body

The MAT Knee Course gives you the ability to develop a deeper understanding between the relationship of specific muscle functions and joint stability within the knee.

Course Details

How many of your clients have come through your practice having experienced a knee injury in their life? The MAT Knee Course gives you the ability to develop a deeper understanding between the relationship of specific muscle functions and joint stability surrounding the knee joint. We will teach you our revolutionary hands-on modality that was developed to create optimal motion in your clients by activating muscles that are not contracting efficiently and likely causing your clients discomfort, muscle tightness, and potential risk of injury particularly affecting the knee joint.

You will learn how to properly evaluate range of motion in movements within the knee joint and how to use specific muscular assessments to identify areas of muscle weakness, biomechanical imbalances, and/or movement compensations that are ailing your clientele. Beyond mastering the ability to properly assess a client’s neuromuscular system at the granular level, we teach you our proprietary muscle testing procedure (AMC&S®) that confirms where a client is broken down and what muscles need to be addressed.

Within the MAT Knee course, there are 17 muscle tests that pinpoint which specific muscles have poor contractile ability – i.e. a muscle’s ability to contract on demand. Alongside these tests are correlating DFAMATs® (muscular palpations on the bony landmarks and insertion points of each muscle in the body) that are used to address and correct a weakened muscle in order to restore stability and mobility through joint motion.

Our goal is for participants to learn our unique systematic format to help their individual clients function with maximum efficiency and give them a better quality of life!

Content Overview

Introduction To the MAT CAM
Evaluate range of motion to identify biomechanical imbalances within the knee using the Comparative Assessment Mobility Evaluation (CAM) procedure.
Learn How to Apply Our AMC&S® Techniques
Correlate range of motion limitations to potential muscle weakness through application of the isolated muscle strength test (AMC&S) for the knee.
Learn How to Administer Our Specific DFAMATs®
Apply specific palpation techniques designed to improve neural integrity of inhibited muscles using our Digital Force Application of Muscle Attachment Tissue treatment process (DFAMAT).
Learn How To Master PICs®
Learn how to use the Corrective Positional Iso-angular Contractions (PIC)process for the knee joint as an alternative form of stimulation to activate position of weakness.
Have The Tools to Confirm
Confirm the technique did increase the neural integrity of the muscle by using the AMC&S® test to evaluate the results.

What Will You Learn

In taking the MAT Knee Course, you will gain insider knowledge on Greg Roskopf’s past and current developments that are paving the way toward a new industry in neuromuscular health. Learning MAT will teach you the knowledge and skills to help clients increase range of motion, accelerate recovery, and unleash the body’s healing power.

You will learn valuable tools that will allow you to start seeing more positive physical changes with your clients right away. Take a peek inside our MAT Knee Course below:
Why Muscle Tightness Is Caused By Muscle Weakness:
Learn why the primary principle behind MAT, muscle tightness is the result of muscle weakness. It is more powerful than any other mindset out there.
What Causes Muscle Weakness:
Where there is stress, trauma, or overuse of a muscle, and the strength tolerance level of that muscle has been exceeded, the resulting inflammation alters the communication between the nervous system and that muscle. The muscle can no longer recover properly, thus it progressively weakens. Learn how to assess, address, and correct these weaknesses for your clients.
What Causes Muscle Dysfunction:
Learn about how muscle dysfunction is caused by the interaction of local and systemic factors, why it happens, and what can be done to fix it.
The Role Of Inflamation And How MAT Helps:
Learn how to utilize the skills taught exclusively by Greg Roskopf to help address and further negate the resulting inflammation that inevitably occurs from stress, trauma, or overuse to the muscular system.
The Role Of Muscle Testing And How MAT Does It Different:
Learn how to use specific assessment techniques that are designed to determine where altered neuromuscular function is occuring in the body. Each of your clients will receive the benefit of being treated uniquely towards their own individual muscle weaknesses and compensation patterns.
How the Muscular System Affects All Aspects Of Health:
The muscular system is a powerful body system that gets overlooked in conventional medicine for its direct impact on overall health. Learn how obtaining optimal muscular function will affects general well-being.
